La Dama Castellana

In June, Conegliano hosts Lo Spettacolo di Dama Vivente, which takes place in the central Piazza Cima, in the historical centre. The event happens over two evenings: on Friday, the “Prelude”, and on Saturday, “La Dama Vivente” (The Living Lady). The event is held in a Renaissance atmosphere, with drums and flag-throwers and costumes; it is the historical re-enactment of facts that actually occurred in the 15th century.
